Frequently Asked Questions
Do you take insurance?
As a cash-based clinic, we do not currently take reimbursement from insurance carriers. This allows us freedom to administer services without restriction of visits or services rendered.
Do you have to be a member of a gym to receive services?
While we are located within Blue Mountain Crossfit, a gym membership is not required to access or receive services.
What makes you different from a traditional outpatient clinic?
Flex Fit Function is a physical therapist owned and operated business with one-on-one patient care in a gym setting. Traditional outpatient care is contracted with insurance companies for a set rate with services typically provided by staff in a group or multi-patient setting.
Do you need a doctor referral for PT services?
A referral for services is accepted but not required. Virginia is a “direct access” state which allows for evaluation and treatment from a licensed physical therapist up to 30-60 consecutive days without referral. In the event a medical condition is beyond the scope of practice of a physical therapist, or services are indicated for longer than this time period, a patient would be referred to a specialized practitioner or their primary care provider to ensure appropriate care.
What is included in an evaluation and treatment session?
Evaluation and treatment sessions include discussion of limitations and concerns for activity, assessment of the client’s restrictions, determination of goals with treatment, and use of hands-on techniques or instruction in activity to address functional restrictions.
